Causes the module to send the host the software version number of the speciﬁed module.

N ansichar Bytes to specify the software version.

Notes

The software version is returned as an ASCII string and is of varying length (and format)

dependent on the module speciﬁed. The length is guaranteed never to be longer then 127

bytes plus a null terminator. If a module is not present then an array of null characters is

returned. This command returns a “Data Range” error if the speciﬁed module is undeﬁned.
